Fitting 9N Coilovers

I know the rears are easy, but does anyone have a walk through guide for what needs to be undone to get the front shocks out easily? Seem to remember on my golf getting the strut out of the hub assembly was a bit of a mission.

Anyone fitted their own coilovers or shall I just pay the garage £45 to do the fronts for me?

i'd pay someone else, theyre bit of a nightmare, the standard shock on the 9N has a slight curve come to the bottom, the coilover [well my FKs] are a straight shock and took the guy ages to get the first one in. Pretty fiddly getting the front right one out.

Pretty much the same as a MK4 Golf. Gonna have the same issue of getting it out of the hub assembly.

Though if you can fabricate something to spread the gap of the hub assembly it does help

get the car on stands and put some of your body weight on the brake disc, this helps get some leverage
