£300 for lowering... which way to go?

After sailing my MOT, I've got about £300 to spend on lowering my mini off-roader.
What's the best way to go? I seen some matched springs and shocks for about £280 (60mm, spax I think) or some FK coilovers from a guy at the clubpolo (PhilJ) for much the same price.
I like the idea of adjustables, but imagine the fixed heights would be better quality. Also I've seen some polo's that sit a tad lower at the back like the owner's delivering the yellow pages, I don't like this at all. Would a fixed height kit have me looking all lardy like this?
