Hi guys, the title says it all,
I was driving in to work, managed to smash the kerb and BANG, the monty is buckled, goodyear EF1 is ruptured & the passenger airbag in the seat deployed.
Not sure what damage has been caused to the drivetrain but I know im going to need:-
Monty II Alloy
Tyre
New passenger seat???
Airbag re-set at VW???
+ anything else that broken
I may have found an alloy, tyre can be ordered but not sure about where to get a seat from?!?!
Does anyone have any ideas? Ive checked ebay to no avail...
Its a 52 plate VW Polo Sport TDI 100
Pain in the arse and the last thing I need!

Could I nick a seat from another car or model in the VAG range? Lupo, Ibiza, Fabia etc etc?

If somebody has a vag com on here you could lend then you can reset the air bag yourself.
Maybe ask the dealers if you need a new seat? Get a price? Then laugh and then cry.
your tracking might be out, but that might be the least of your worries.

I may ruin your day even more....sorry.
If the airbag control unit has now stored crash data then its not as easy as getting the fault code turned off. You may need a new control unit or at least send it to a specialist to get it re-programmed? Hopefully though it was not enough of an impact to trigger any data capture.
Try the breakers for the seat. Lots of OAP's drive Polo's so lots get crashed. (before you flame me for branding Polo's as OAP cars please look at my sig : ) mind you I am not far off the OAP status myself)

Just keep checking the bay for monty II, When i was searching for mine there was 4-5 sets and even a single alloy for sale. now theres nothing, so just keeping checking it, they normally come in a flood, then disappear together!

Hi all, well alots happened since this post and now the car is one of the least of my problems...
Anywho, all looks good so far. My local garage has done a stirling job so far, new seat cover and airbag unit as opposed to a whole new seat... as far as the car though, new swing-arm, ball joint etc etc
Is proving costly, BUT not as much as the stealers would charge.
If you guys need a decent garage in north london let me know.
Will keep you all updated!
