did you get the camber adjusted once they were fitted?
and also tracking needs done doesnt it?

does the 9n need camber done then and you're choosing not too. i dont fancy my expensive tyres wearing uneven within a few months

yeah you should always get the geometry reset when changing the suspension, but I;'m not sure you can actually do anything about the camber anyway (or not much).

I was pleasantly surprised - the rear camber still seems ok on my car, and the front looks fine too. hence why I'm not as bothered.

I lowered my last polo and tyre wear was fine. once tracking is done I think it should still be respectable.

Tracking definately needs doing and by God it makes a lot of difference. 9n has fixed rear beam type suspension, so there aren't any adjustments on the rear.

Mine's had a the whole tracking works done day before yesterday and its worth it.

David please report back with your findings once you've had the geometry setup on your car, I'm sure you'll be pleased

did you have the sport model? the front isn't actually that much lower than standard on mine with the heavy TDI - about another 35mm I guess. I will report back though.

I had a silver 1.0L mk4 and the tracking made a hugh amount of difference - it squealed on every corner before!

I had a full 4 wheel laser alignment done about a week and a half after having mine lowered.

The tracking was pretty much spot on but the camber was off. All in all it cost me £50.

Definately worth getting the camber done if you're getting the tracking done, the place I used had the proper VW machine as well.

Automotive Performance Services, it's the place that VAG Tech uses.

The place VW in Bedford uses is crap to say the least.

Talking of coilovers,how much can I pick up a decent set for, Im considering them for my 9n, but I dont know whether to get a Votex Kit first or get the coilovers. What would a 9n without a Votex kit look like lowered,ones with the kit would obviously look lower wouldnt they?
Which are the best coilovers to go for,iv heard a lot of good stuff about Eibach?

Votex, not lowered.

I've sinced put KWs on it and it's much nicer. My FKs are for sale (brand new) but I've PM-ed you anyway.

The eibach coilies im on have fantastic ride comfort and handling. I've already done a Glasgow to Aberdeen blast and its a more exciting drive than with standard stuff.

Iv not got a votex though, is it worth splashing out on decent coilovers without having a votex,will it still look good, is it worth it, or is it better just getting springs? How much in total cost are we talking for coilovers, buying the things and getting them fitted?

My KW V1's were £680 supplied and fitted. (I've got a 6N2 GTi though)
