Where Would you guys buy springs?

Post by LowPoloCo. »

Hey guys,

i know i know, this topic has come up so many times, but theres so much controversy.

basically, im looking to lower the 9N on springs,

something like these... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Volkswagen-Polo-1 ... dZViewItem

i was thinking, because we'll be selling the car in a year, if i go for a bigger drop on springs, say 50mm, then there wont be too much wear on the shocks?

is this the case?

if so, where would you guys buy them from? any where quite cheap? or is this going to be an ebay job?

cheers

awesome, cheers Dino,

http://www.europerformance.co.uk/pages/ ... d=EP551739

this was the kind of thing im looking at, but it says you need shorter shocks, i know why and everything, but if these are only going to be on the car for a year or less, is it really worth getting nw shocks? unless i can transfer these onto my 9N3?

thanks

9n and 9n3 have the same suspension.

You won't need shocks, but it won't ride as well.

If your thinking of using those Spax springs on standard shocks I wouldn't bother. Your ride quality will be very bouncy and harsh - talking from experience as I had them before my FK Coilovers.

40mm is probably the lowest to go on standard shocks if you have to.
