All curbs should be banned full stop.
I know exactly how you feel after doing my splitter, although it'll probably cost a bit more to fix
Hope it's not too bad though Alun.

I was so careful watching the kerb the other day I reversed into a low bollard, small scuff which luckly polished out

It's a horrible feeling. Did it in my mums old Fiesta coming round a tight corner too fast. I've also done it to my RX's. What is worse is I didn't know I had and noticed it walking back to the car - I was almost shouting FFS in the car park!

I've been lucky with my GTi to date but my last car I had a couple of nasty incidents with kurbs it just sends a nasty chill up your spine when you hear that crunch.
the thing I haven't had much luck with is Vandals!!
I've had the car keyed a few times now when I've parked in town.
I've gotten used to it now when I see a new one but it still really pisses me off.
the car just had a couple of stonechips when I got it but now it has key scratches on nearly every panel and the roof

I do my best to Tcut them out but some are just too deep. you hardly notice them though after a good clean polish and wax
