Just a wild poke in this section, only wanting 250 pounds + original bumpers. Amazing condition, work carried out only a few weeks ago. As far as I know, the only black bumpers in UK

Yep, the only thing is they don't have the washet jets, yet that doesn't make your car unroadworthy nor will it stop you from passing MOT

There's no legality towards passing an MOT or the roadworthiness of the car towards having washers, however there is some sort of legislation that states that all manufacturers, when selling a brand new car, must sell the high intensity discharge headlights with washers, however this doesn't apply to the aftermarket kits, as far as I know. That's why a lot of new cars get the washer jets smoothed off for that euro look

Shantybeater, I'd have thought all you'd need is to get a bodyshop to cut the holes in the right place and you'd be good to go.
Max, the only problem with him having the bumpers without the washer jets is that he'll still have the washer jet system in place.

even if it is strictly illegal, I'm sure you can ask around for a "friendly" MOT centre.
in fact, I'm almost certain they wouldn't fail it, you could always ask beforehand. I'd probably take the risk.

**EDIT**
could the holes be cut in the bumper fairly easily then?? (not DIY tho)

as far as I know yes, but it would mean I'd have to get the holes filled in, didnt realise that before I posted in the GTi section

selling the car as soon as the bumpers are gone, time for a change and something reasonably quicker
