Smoothed Bumpers

Just a question for all the peeps with smoothed bumpers. How much did it cost for front and rear and how was the quality of workmanship?

edit: Also is it worth colour coding the splitter. I can see pros and cons of each. It will cost more and get stone chipped, but it does look good, hmmm

For me personally, I would avoid colour-coding the front splitter. But that's for two reasons really. Firstly I drive a black GTi so a coded splitter doesn't give that obvious visual update IMHO, and secondly in my own opinion my car is not and never will be an out and out show car so I'm not too worried about the odd knock and scrape that the splitter is given at the current ride height. When it finally accumulates enough damage to warrant it, I will simply buy a new one from VW.

However on a silver car I can see the merits of colour-coding the splitter. It changes the look of the front of the car quite dramatically, you only need to see pictures of cars like Tom's smoothed GTi to see what I'm on about! Colour-coded splitters work best with silver, and then red, but not so much with black IMHO.

If you are confident you won't go and bash the splitter into something... then go for it :)

Quality of mine in second to none, as anyone who's seen it will testify.

I'd say go for colour coding the splitter as like Si said, it makes so much difference on a silver car.

As for price, I've spent quite a lot, hey I like using expensive people
