Sell it as it is you'll get more money that way

this ones debatable. i personally think strip the mods and replace with originals. theres not much demand for modified cars. even if somebody is willing to take it off your hands, theyll probably be young and have a certain budget.
depends really. have a go at selling as it is for a price you think is reasonable if no sale, then put it back to its original state, and youll instantly have a lot of potential buyers.

I would say depends what the mods are? I'm currently looking for a GTI and finding that they've all done over 70k, are 300 miles away from me.. or just stupidly modified to someone elses taste.
I'm trying to get as standard as i can, as i'm just not very keen on having someone else having cut suspensions, tinted windows too dark, added twin pipes etc..
But i would say it depends what you've done personally.

What mods have you done D-Dub, I can see the obvious ones in your sig (lowered, red strip round grille, german plates)
If that's about it then as gti_black says, try it how it is now and if you get no joy, put it back to standard

Ok i'll list all the modifications. I do have all the standard parts to replace them with anyway so changing them is no problem:
FK highsport coilovers
Full S/S exhaust system - cat back
FK 10mm spacers & longer bolts & locking nuts
BMC carbon air filter
Aero front and rear wipers
9n black interior mirror
De-locked door handels
New BBS centre caps (now obsolete)
Then the basics just to see what people think it's worth
3 owners
105,000 miles
Full vw and vw specialist service history
New gearbox supplied and fitted by vw dealer - only done about 20,000 miles, still has warranty left i think
Factory leather
Climate control

In my past experience you will be better off selling the car as standard as everyone has different tastes. Others may think that a car has been thrashed if the car isn't as it left the factory. The mods you have added to your will fetch more if you sell them on here

Out of the mods you've got there, I'd only personally worry about removing the coilovers, BMC and spacers.
Selling them seperately will as noted above, probably get you more as they put the car closer to being stock again, and also someone on here will not doubt buy them off you!

to be honest, when i bought mine around 5 months ago I avoided modded polo's at all costs, alot of people out there see modders as people who abuse their cars or street race etc... on top of that buyers arent likely to take to account the extra cost of mod's you have put on, they will be looking at the price ranges on auto trader etc.. you will definately get more if you can be bothered to take off and sell the mod's seperately, will be a shame to see it go though, everyone seems to be selling up at the mo whilst my polo's journey has just begun
I'd take alot of your upgrades off you if and when you sell and I have the cash..and for the right price, good luck with the sale

Dave, if you want to swap the original wipers (front and rear) back to standard, let me know and I would be happy to arrange a meet and swap with some cash your way
Good luck with the sale...

Do you guys think the car would be worth £3800 standard?
