Changing insurance companies

This is a bit of a random one, but when I got my car I wasn't expecting to do much to it, so I just bought the cheapest insurance with elephant, I could only afford the 10month accelerator plan at the time. Since then I've caught the modding bug and need to declare several mods on the policy however elephant will change me extra for having the mods but refuse to cover them which doesn't seem fair.

Question is, can I change companies mid policy/will I get any of my original premium back for leaving early?

No claims isn't really an issue as I won't get any anyway because I'm on the 10month scheme which as far as I know can't be used with another company.

Check your insurance documents - depending how far into the 10 months you are you may receive a small % back.

I recommend Brentacre (http://www.brentacre.com) as they are superb with all mods and are quite competitively priced.

As above, I've gone with Brentacre.

They were dearer than my renewal price with Elephant but the advantages far outweighed the extra price.

No increase for mods, 12 month policy and Like for like in the case of an accident :D
