Hi folks, im new here. Ive got a leon cupra, but just bought my missus a 54 plate black 9n polo 3 door 1.9 sdi and i can never leave a car alone so gonna mod it a bit. Really like the look of few of the polos on here and fancy the votex kit and a set of 17's to start off. Anyone know aomewhere where i can get a votex kit for a reasonable price (looked on ebay and f**k all there). Any help woould be greatly appreciated folks. P.S. Got lucky with the colour aswell LC9Z, which is exactly the same as my cupra and just bought a new back bumper for it. (Thats why a want the votex kit asap)

Welcome to the forum mate.

There was one going on eBay only a few days ago for £300-350 and never got sold. Dealer prices are quite extortionate for these so your best bet is probably eBay.

Edit:

Heres the link to the one that ended a few days ago.

No harm emailing them and asking if they are willing to sell it!

cheers, just asked them about it now. like your polo, very smooth. Do you know if will my polo rub with a set of 17's and a drop of about 40mm. What size are they on urs and whats the ride like cos she will only complain if she can read a manhole with her arse everytime she goes over one.

if you stick to the tyre 205/40/17 then you will be ok on 17" rims, lowered.

Thanks mate. I had 17's for a day and my car is lowered all the way down on coilovers so much more lower than 40mm. No scrubbage with the tyre size as said by Carmadarron and the offset was ET33.

TBH, I thought 17s looked a little too big and thats the only reason I'm sticking with 16"s. The ones on my sig pic are my old wheels which are 16"s and they were spot on and even my new wheels are the same.

I had 50mm Spax suspension before and now have FK Coilovers. In my opinion strangely the springs were worser than the full coilover setup as they didn't like potholes one bit. That said it drives like its on rails with the coilovers and even little bumps on the road can sometimes be over-exaggerated. Though I think this is because its all the way down. When the ride height was set to half way when I got the coilovers it was much less harsher and almost like the standard suspension - just a little more firmer.

welcome to the forum bud, i would say 16s are the best size to go for, but some 17s can look good depending on how low you want to go really!

yea not bad at all, cheers  . Just worked out aswell that the 17's of my leon cupra will fit the polo, so gonna have a look to see what they look like on it. Missus reckons they will look rubbish (what does she know lol), but i think they will be cool with a set of vw badges on em. Il get a pic and you can all make my mind up for me (or her if she knows whats good for her)(im gonna have a slap if she see this haha) .
