no most are 5 x 112 mate. ive got a leon cupra mk1 and mine is 5 x 100 as is the golf mk4. Iwas gonna get wheels of an audi a4 but they are 5 x 112. you can buy spacers to make them fit but not recommended really. The new shape golfs and leons are also 5 x 112.

as mentioned above. TT wheels are a popular choice, and they are 5x100

Only wheels that are from the A2, A3 (not the latest shape) and TT (MK1) are 5x100.
As long as adaptors are TUV safety approved e.t.c. I think they are fine.
But personally I would not use adaptors as I don't quite like the adaptor attaching to the hub then wheel bolting to the adaptor business. Would much rather prefer a straight fitment wheel - but each to their own!

but it would be worth buying adapters if you were going to get some amazing looking wheels. eBay.de is OEM wheel heaven.

firstly, no mk6 gti lol, im guessing you mean mk5.
the mk5 gti IS 5x112. if you have mk5 gti wheels you will have a replica or an aftermarket wheel made in 5x100

ok sorry about the mistake with the mk5 mk6 thing but as i took the wheels off the car myself and put them on my polo and they fit stright on. the 2mm differance is nothig as with fiats and there fitment fiat are 4x98 vauxhall and so on are 4x100 and they go on fiats not a problem the 2 mm is nothing. even still got the golf tyres on 225 40 18's (catch slighly) but i did have 265 35 19 on my polo at one point and that cleared.

Thing is it's not 2mm difference there's a 12mm difference.
That's quite a difference
Also back to the subject I believe the older Audi A4's a 5x100 (Around W reg and before) also The Octavia Mk1's
