Hey Mole can you do me a favour and check this picture out. I was wanting to know if I can fit a LHD cupholder in this blank space. Will it fit in here as I am unsure.
Here is the pic

I think the cupholder bumps into the indicator stalk iirc.

You can fit one, but you have to make a small hole in the plastic somewhere and it'll hit the steering wheel

Yeh as Nelson said, you'll need to make a small hole (as on the other side) in that plastic at the back.
Then it will clash with the indicator stalk anyway!
Sorry!

When you say it hits of the indicator stalk, how much does it hit it by? Would it still be usable or would it be totaly use less?
I always use two cupholders but have to use one down at the side

. That why I wouldnt mind one in there, It just always irratates me when I look at this big blank space! Any ideas? I've seen some one use this space just as a cubby hole like the one under the stereo. Has anyone done this?
Also how much will Martyn at vag parts charge for the top cubby box mod?
Oh and another also! Is this arm rest a real VW part?
If it was then it would be in cream leather eh? If it is VW how much from Matyn?

The cupholder>cubbyhole mod is a mystery. Theres loads of them on European cars but they aren't listed on ETKA for some strange reason

If anyone is Europe is reading (Emann, I know you have two on your car!) if you go to the trouble of removing it and finding out what the part number is etched on the plastic you'll be making allot of people happy!
I'm not sure how much the indicator would block the cupholder, I guess you'd just have to use your imagination. Don't forget you also have full beam to think about as well...
The armrest show in the picture above is indeed a non-approved Volkswagen item, doesn't look too bad from the fron't but the at the back it looks terrible and robs rear foot space
Polo-03, you can buy the cubby box mod from Martyn online, the current price is £20.52 (a little cheaper than last year I think) To purchase it click the link:
