Ok..so im thinking about buying a GTI...Want to check that the numbers match...so can anyone point me in the direction of the relevent data plates on the car please?

And...

Is there a haynes manual that covers the 1.6 16valve in the polo GTI?

VIN is on the dashboard on the right on a plate and is printed in the chassis under the clear cover near the wipers and on the left of the engine bay

Haynes manual - there isnt one specifically for the GTI unfortunately, though the standard one contains most of the information you will need
