VW will knock 10-15% off their retail prices if you ask them nicely...so if you have no luck here (with vag parts etc), try your local dealership!!
I have got up to 20% off some things, and always get at least 10%!!
Euro Car Parts will also knock the price back to over 10% if you say 'well actually i can get it cheaper elsewhere!'
