Recall info from VOSA

Anyone new to owning a Polo should check this site out...

You can search for recalls affecting the Polo incase yours hasn't been done. Fortunately there are not many listed for any of the models.
Anyone with heated cloth seats should pay particular attention!!
Good for arguing costs with the VW Stealers too!

I got a bit concerned about this posting as my wife's Polo 2002 but 2003MY has heated cloth covered seats. There is nothing listed for this manufacturing period except the previous Polo/Ibiza problem of the "oops we've used some duff pipe for the servo". Which manufacturing period does the subject of your posting refer to?

I entered dates from March 03 to May 07 - this was to cover any recalls that would affect my 03 Polo hatchback - you can start from scratch on the page and set it to cover specific makes, models and dates etc.
Apologies for creating concern.
The heated seats actually have VIN listings - but I think the dates were 06/07 ish.

No problem, better safe than sorry - I always have a nagging doubt about fitting heaters into car seats - wife wanted them so I included them in the car build (I'm probably just a bit jealous that I didn't think about including a winter pack in my car!)i

Never really liked heated seats myself - they always give the feeling that somethings not quite right... down there... as they warm up!

Yes especially when you have not noticed that your wife has left them switched on!!!!

i remember in my last car i had them and i took a guy from work home one evening, left the seats on, got about 2 mile or so into the journey and he starts getting really un easy! so i ask whats up and he tells me that he is really sorry but he think he has just wet himself on my seat!!! lol
was very much releaved when i told him its prolly just the heated seat! lol
