How to remove heating control knobs

Hi Guys,

As the subject says, does anyone know how to remove the heating control knobs? The air direction control specifically. It has managed to get some grit in there somewhere and is making a terrible graunching noise as it's turned - I need to give it a quick clean.

Thanks for any help.

Leon.

I 'think' the plastic panel that surrounds the 3 heater knobs must come off and it might help to remove the radio/cd player. I could be totally wrong though.

Maybe a vacuum with a brush attachment might suck it up?

Failing that I'm sure there is a special spray you can buy to get rid of the dirt/sound, not sure what it's called though, sorry I can't help further

Do they not just pull off? Not tried it though, just guessing
