VAG COM Problem :(

Post by alexperkins »

Hi all,

Me and Ben (PD) were fiddling with his car earlier gave the throttle body a clean, but the throttle body needs alignment.

So we fired up VAG COM, cable worked fine, but we cant access the engine module at all.

Works fine on my car, but bens just doesnt want to know!

Any and all help would be apprecaited.

Thanks!

Mine went like that the other day. Works fine on my GTI and but didn't want to know my fathers golf engine. Also one of my mates golf it didn't work on either. I done a full system scan on the car first then went back to click on engine and for some reason it worked then. It is strange though, should work first time. Any suggestions? Cheers

It cant even manage the scan - first module it scans is the engine module :(

Should definately work first time round - is yours a registered copy, because the free one doesnt let you change any setting like aligning the TB or anything :(
