Unless you're buying these for cosmetic appeal - a complete waste of cash.
The GTi brakes are responsive to the touch, braided hoses are a throwback to the past when brake servo's didn't exist and you had to really press the brakes hard. The rubber hoses would bulge with the pressure of the brake fluid, making your brakes feel spongy. Modern brakes ain't like that.

I have them on mine, I put them on because my rubber ones has rubbed on my suspension and where wearing through. The brake pedal did feel firmer once they where installed, but this may of just been in my head. Also I could'nt get the rear ones to fit, you have to get them through a hole which is smaller than nut head on them.

My brakes are the worst I've encountered in every single car I've driven...worse than even a Ford Fiesta and Citreon C3

I'd agree really, they're not the best brakes I've ever experienced.
The 1.3 Combo's at work have better brakes and they've got about as much power as a Citroen 2CV

Alright
I have the braided hoses on my fronts, i fitted them when i done the 280mm g60 brakes - so i guess i wouldnt notice the diffrence with or without them - they look good though - and probably perform a bit better

Yeh i noticed that about the hole too but i just dremmeled the hole slightly bigger and all is fine.
I think they are ok like, cant really tell if they have made a difference since upgrading the brakes so cant really tell. They aint expensive so give it a bash
You need the BANJO ones
