hi got problems with mk3 polo front suspesion not even a year old and decided to go very very clocky and rattly does not sound good so ive had alook nothin obvious but lifted the bonet and tried tighting the top mount bolts and the whole lot just spins on the drivers side so i guess something may hav snapped why has this happened and wot hav i sanpped without takin it apart any ideas

hello,

when you say your top mount is just spinning. are you holding the centre stud with something. the nut will keep spinning unless you can hold the centre stud. (your basically turning the rod of the piston)

might be worth jacking the car up and inspecting the suspension a little. check for any excess play or see if you can replicate the noise while its in the air to identify where its coming from!
