Hey guys,

Just thought i'd put up a few pics of my car at the mo.

I bought it totally standard,
so far its got some 16v wheels, clear indicators, clear repeaters, powerbulbs powerplus bulbs, golf mk4 gearstick, white dials with red and white lighting instead of the normal incredible hulk look, chrome tachorings, stubby ariel, k&n panel filter, vibe cbr 12 sub + kenwood amp, fli comp 6 and a pansonic cn 7703 head unit.

i'll get some more pics like the golf gear stick + leather gaiter (which looks so much better than the standard one) and the dash at night.

what do you think i should do about rear lights? i was thinking mk5's or mk4 16v's. and i'm not sure to get my windows tinted or not... what you guys reckon?

Any feedback appreciated :)

Hey Rick,

I think the dials are the best feature added! :P along with the alloys make a nice subtle improvement.

My friend has got the exact same polo as you, colourwise that is. I deffo think you should get rid of the bumpstrips as they make the car look completly different. He also got the windows tinted and i think they look really good, but then again hes going for the black/red kinda look. Ill try get a pic uploaded for you once i check out the rules about posting pics so that u can have a look!

thanks a lot guys for the comments :D
debadging and bump strips gives me something to do this weekend!

The dials i got from Mahbs on here (check out http://www.tigerstyle.co.uk/poloforum/v ... hp?t=32054)

and the tachorings i got from ebay from this guy http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/GB-VW-Polo-6N-VW- ... dZViewItem

As for lowering, not really worth just getting springs is it? so what would sort out that dodgy half tipping over scenario when you go round corners? i'm not up for slamming the car, the speed bumps around here are a nightmare.

Also, any advice for the front brakes? i want new discs and pads but i dunno which are good..
i was told to check out gsf car parts for brembo max discs and mintex pads, are they good? if not what is better you reckon.

polo dude them lights look sweet, i'd like to see a pic with the 16v lights too if you could.
is anyone selling a set of mk5 rears? ;)

i'll try to get a few more pics up when i've done a bit more to the car.
hopefully soon :D

I bought Brembo discs with Jurid pads from GSF & they're fine - about £80.

Same here, used Brembo disks with Pagid pads, worked fine.

That was the best combo with the Brembo 'MAX' discs and Pagid Fast Road pads, however, they've stopped making the Pagid's in a Fast Road compound.

TRD Friction who make the Pagid pads and other brands suggested using Mintex 'Extreme' pads as an alternative as the compound is very similar to the Pagids.

Just pop in to GSF and get them ordered up as I don't think they have the pads on their website.

If you couple that combo of discs and pads with some Goodridge metal braided brake lines/hoses for £35-40 you'll see a vast difference in breaking performance. :D

Isn't that polo the same colour as Jarno's old polo?
