Mirror remove, Paint, and eBay.de

Just purchased a stubby drivers mirror off ebay.de
,, it comes ready primed, so i'll have to paint it myself., my car is black, does ne1 know;
the actual name of GTi black paint, and where to purchase?
what good laquer there is i cud use?
any tips on painting it?
How to get the mirror off?
if ne1 wants the link to where i got the mirror from give me a shout, it was £33!!!

See paints-4-u for a kit that will do it.

I think, judging by the price etc, that you got the mirror off the same dude that I did. Mine also is awaiting painting and fitting
EDIT: oh and mine came with the glass, yes.

do you know if the seller understands english? because i want a big mirror for the left hand side so i have two big mirrors!

We exchanged a couple of emails in English so I imagine he has a working knowledge of the language. Can't guarantee it though!

I havn't got it yet, but am very sure it includes the glass!
@sunburntfreak: look head on at your car, do the mirrors not seem a slightly different size to you?! the drivers side is bigger to conpensate for the blind spot concentrated lense. Hense why its a mod to buy the LHD passengers side, so ther both small!!
@stani540: he does quite a few diff marks and sides so i'd very much imagine that he has a drviers one, i'm pretty sure he did. jsut search "AUßENSPIEGEL SPIEGEL polo" (not caps) in ebay.de and something will come up.

I checked out that paints4u site, i got a bit lost in it. I checked the reciept of my car and its Diamond black pearl effect. Does anyone know the exact paint code for it? and then is it just a case of a few coats of laquer after that? also is the mirror something i can take off by removing the door card?

Oh yeah forgot about that. After a few days Mike came back to me via PM on E38 and quoted me £117 delivered, for the same euro-spec mirror that I got off eBay for ~£33
