I changed mine to a sachs one and I can't fault it - not sure about what bhp it can handle though

I wouldn't worry about the clutch handling the power....i'd worry about the gearbox  ...unless your dropping a 1.8T in???

Sachs clutch is brilliant, its so much smoother and lighter, one of the best mods i've done :D

as far as i know the gearbox is in great condition as ive taken it apart and checked all the interals with my vw mates and they change bits that needed it. dont like the 1.8t too common now. was considering a tsi engine from the golf gt but cant be arsed with all the work of finding a donar car and paying a couple G's for the car as they are pretty new and not many crashed. its not massive bhp that i will be pushing and the box will be fine its gonna be ampful to anoy some bigger cars that laugh at the polo.
so it looks like Sachs clutches are a good way to go then.

can anyone point me in the right direction of the best place to get this clutch from.

Cheers
Ricky.
