Im not sure if this price is expensive so Id like some advice. I can get G60 wheels with tyres, all with 4mm of tread on. The wheels are immaculate aswell, for £150. Expensive or not? Also does it matter if there steelies are 195/50 R15 but the polo gti is 195/45/ R15? Cheers people

Yeh it would totally depend on how much your car is lowered by. Anything up to 40mm wud be fine i'm sure. Personally I'm not a fan of 50's, they make the alloys look smaller!

50's will make the rolling radius larger than standard.
You'll reduce accelleration, throw off your speedo, and damage the tyres if they rub on the arches (which they will do at some point).
As for that kind of money. I have a brand new set from VW on my GTi... €280 with centre caps, that works out at £190.

I bought three tired and rusting used steels for £50, then added a fourth that was brand new from VW dealer (paid £35). Had the whole lot professionally refurbished in gloss black (£180) and stuck them on the GTi as winter wheels last year! Now sold to a fellow GTi owner for her to use as winter wheels
Haven't seen another set like them yet though
Brand new from VAG they are probably going to cost in the region of £140 for all four. At standard ride height you can get away with the 195/50 tyres but should really consider 195/45 for the reasons stated above by Tetsuo_83

I had 195/50/15 on my polo with no probs with standard suspension. When I lowered it on 60mm springs and shocks she rubbed badly !!
