sorry to have another coilover topic,
but i was just wondering what the best are for my polo gti and where i can get them from?
from what i understand, you can have these fitted and adjust the ride height as to how high/low you want it, is this correct and is it difficult to do??
cheers guys

I went with KW Variant 1's which were supplied and fitted by the guys at VAG Tech.
You're right in saying the ride height can be adjusted, and with some eg. KW Variant 2's you can adjust the damping as well.

KW coilovers are good and are what you'd call top end coilovers as they are good but fairly expensive (£700-£800 i think aren't they Tom?)
Middle of the road coilovers would be FK Konigsports, cheaper than the KWs but still damping adjustable with Koni dampers (these are the ones i have). These are around £400-£550.
A bit cheaper are the FK Highsports which come without the adjustable damping. My other half has these on her mk4 polo and I think the ride is very good and they have never seized once. These are around £350-£450 i think.
Some of the cheapest coilovers are made by V-Maxx and then you have the PhilJ sets that are available from a guy on Club Polo. Both these set are around the £300 mark.
Coilovers are fairly easy to adjust once you know what you are doing. Its basically a case of winding the bottom of the spring down the thread on the coilover, the lower the base of the spring, the lower the car will sit!
www.venonmotorsport.com is where alot of people buy the FK sets from.
Hope this has been of some help to ya!

Yep that's about right Dan, my V1's were supplied and fitted for £680.
I can't remember exactly how much the V2's would have been but they were over £700.
Then you can say goodbye to somewhere around £50 for 4 wheel laser alignment etc
