Hey,
Can anyone help with this please?

I'm trying to get hold of a Nintendo Wii but everywhere is sold out!! Need to get it by 19th for a birthday present. (the package for £179.99 with sports)

Also, anyone know the difference between a normal controller and a nunchuk!? (Playability-wise) Is it any better? Or only for certain games?

I've been asked to buy an additional controller as you only get one with the console but haven't a clue!!
Thanks people!

The things are selling like bloody hotcakes! I fancy getting one soon, but everywhere is either out of stock or selling them with extortionate bundles!
Check the site below for stock updates on the big websites, it should help:

IIRC, you need both the nunchuck and the remote to have an additional controller. The controller you posted on the right, is the controller for the old-skool games you can buy from the wii store (I think).
Other than that, ask around local stores and game shops. One may pop up somewhere.

asda's the best play, usually have them in stock!
nunchuk is an add-on to the normal controller. allows you to play some games that need it.
additional controller is £30, nunchuks are £15.
or you can buy "wii play + controller" for £30 (comes as a package!)

i have a Wii

Hollie got it for my birthday earlier this year!
Wii comes with Wii Sports, a nunchuck and a Wii Remote in the box. Generally you will need a nunchuck and Wii remote to play most of the games.
Wii Play is a good bet as you get a game and controller for £35ish. the conventional controller is used (as Ollie said) for old skool games you buy from the Wii Shop!
good luck finding one

Picked up a nunchuck (£14.99) and Wii play (£34.99) from Comet yesterday.
The shops were just laughing at me everytime I asked if they had any consoles in stock or due in!!
Browsed internet for couple of hours last night and stumbled across 24Studio.co.uk Called them and they had some in stock!
They set up an account and you pay once you receive the invoice so i'm just waiting for that - they've told me 7-14 days delivery.Woo-HOO
