Wet floor behind drivers seat.

Hello VW Polo enthusiasts.
I have a 2002 year Polo SDI. The car is really good so far no huge repairs. However recently I noticed that when I remove my rubber carpet (the one which is in the left passenger side behind the drivers seat (I am from Latvia and as you might know the drivers seat is in the left side over here)) the floor is wet. I went to service and they tell me that I need to check my air system as it might be foul with leaves or something. I did it and it was OK. They answered that they don't know what is the problem and if I want they can check it but it will cost a lot of money. So maybe someone had the same problem and can help me or suggest what to do.
Looking forwards for help.
Thanks.

stick talcum powder on your door seals, if they are leaking you will see the power washed away.....
that's one idea.

Thank you for ideas I will try a talcum powder. However it might not work because I haven't seen water drops on door seals. Maybe there is a crack in the floor or something.
No I don't have a sun roof. So it cant' be from the roof.

just a thought, is your rear wash wipe working? maybe the pipe is split? or does the pipe run along the top of the car?

I agree with DDiesel - check your rear wiper for correct operation.
The pipe runs through the door sill under the plastic trim inside the car - there is a joint just above the rear speaker in the side of the car!
Talcum powder is a smart idea though - I like that!!

Thank you for your ideas.
However I don't think that the rear wiper is the issue because the car doesn't have the water spray on the rear window.

If there is a wiper there should be a spray!

I agree and if there is no water coming out at the rear wiper then the washer pipe must have come off - as suggested earlier. Check the end of the rear wiper shaft, it should be hollow and its trim cover should have an open section to let the water spray out when the wiper switch is pushed away from the steering wheel - after the rear wiper is switched - against a return spring.

The wiper pipe runs along where the wet patch is - could well have burst!

hi just seen ur post, I had a polo with a similar problem and I realised it was water leaking in through the rear lights, flodding the rear seats through the bootr. Check the seals on the lights.
