hey. i have an N reg polo mk4, im gona change my stock sony radio/cassette player for an aftermarket hu.
i just wana know do i need a new facia or all i need to do is swap hu's?

Straight swap - just rememember to connect radio side red to car side yellow and radio side yellow to car side red otherwise your radio will keep forgetting its settings!!!
