I agree with Pioneer or Alpine, I have a pioneer one which i bought from argos for £65 (half price offer), all i had to do was buy an extra cable which enabled me to control the ipod menu from the HU. The cable for the alpine one is £15 i believe, and the Pioneer one was about a fiver from good old fleabay.

Preferably i want one to interface with my ipod. I dont want to buy one and find out that the sound quality is rubbish or it is too hard to use in terms of accessing songs.

This is the one to get:

The full-speed iPod connection is seamless and works very well. I have the CDE-9881R in my car with the full-speed cable, and it's silky-smooth.

If you fancy splashing out a bit, the Alpine iDA-X001 is simply the best for full iPod integration:

Steer well clear of ones made by Sony. Their Xplop range is not very well regarded within car audio circles :)
