I've got a replacement car lined up, but have been let down by my buyer so my car is up for sale!

The car has been very well looked after and it has been cleaned religiously since I got it, taking several hours each time - my neighbours think I'm crazy!

Its a Flash Red Polo GTi W reg (2000)
Approaching 70k on the clock
3 door
Climate control which runs very cold
Xenon headlights with washers
Original VW stereo and cd player in perfect working order
Inside in is excellant condition, exterior has no dents or dings, with the exception of a scuff on the colour coded splitter, but the car will come with a replacement standard black GTi splitter.

FSH, all VW main dealer apart from the last service which was done by a VW specialist.
Gearbox rebuild May 07, 6 months warranty will come with the car
Cambelt and water pump changed at 45k

Mods:

Lowered 60mm on springs and shocks (original GTi springs will be included in the sale), camber and tracking and headlight alignment have all been done since lowering so there is no problem with tyre wear etc.
Car will now be sold with original BBS RX2 wheels, they are in good condition, no curbing etc.
Black badges
K&N panel filter

Wheels can be replaced with steel wheels for a lower price.

I'm looking for offers near £4750 due to the added peace of mind that the refurbished gearbox and warrenty provides. REDUCED TO £4400

Car will look as below except that the wheels are in better condition than those pictured and there is a small scuff on the splitter as mentioned above.

Considering removing the Borbets and fitting either BBS RX2's or RA's depending what I can get hold of. This would lower the price to £4000/£4200.

Would this make the car more saleable, had so much bad luck selling this, so much interest but no-ones made it to view the car yet!

Plans have now changed, I've found a set of RX2's so I will be selling the Borbets and the car will be sold with original wheels. This means that there is a little more flexibilty in price if the car is sold quickly, so make me an offer!

Who refurbished the 'box? the only thing that puts me off slightly (cant help but be tempted by another GTi) is the warranty running out at the end of this month. Plus my previous bad experience with my old one hasn't helped either lol

The warrenty runs til May, when I said 6 months I meant from now not from when it was done. It was done by a gearbox specialist in Hedge end, southampton - Solent Gearboxs and Axles, they were recommended by my bf, who is a mechanic for Lucketts coaches.

up to 3800 unfortunatly - thats why I am looking at Matts GTI for 3700 with 60k on the clock, sounds great to me.

Damn, I would sell mine for £4000 if someone bought it next week as I've found another Golf for cheaper than the original one, but I guess thats still too much for you.

With no wheels, yes. Would make my life a whole lot easier!
