Thats actually the look I was aiming for, only yours is the later model 6N2 if i'm correct. Looks a stunner in red once i'd removed the nasted oxidised paint, I want to look into some of those BBS alloys and some clear bits to make it look a little more respectable!

It is the later one. Ye - a good polisher should get the oxidation off. A good valeting place should be able to bring it back to life.

The alloys cost about £300-£400 for a set in gd condition, though you can pick them up really cheap when they are in bad nick and just refurb them back to good ;)

Clear indicators and side repeaters make a huge difference to the 6n, as do MK5 rear lights like mine (especially on a red car it looks awesome!!)

Well i've had a go at it with Autoglym Super resin polish and it's very close to back to red but I have no idea how long it will last for.

I'm going to look at getting a set sometime next year, having bought the car for £750 i'm a bit nerved spending half what I spent on the car on alloys lol! I agree about the clear parts, I'm also torn on either going for the MK5 rear lights or a set of clear/smoked original styles ones :?

I have some if that stuff too, but the SRP seemed to work better :?

Might have to get someone to photoshop me a picture of either the MK5 lights and the smoked ones

Cool, I thought why not have a go myself. The front indicators, side indicators and the MK5 rear lights didn't look right with my photoshop so I left them out. You think you could make the indicators clear and put a MK5 rear light set on?
