UK-POLOS.NET - THE VW Polo Forum

I know this topic's been raised before but I'm afraid I can't find it. My 9n gives 3 flashes of the indicators if the stalk is just touched into the lane change position. A friend's 9n of about the same age doesn't do this. I understood that it is a matter of coding the car via the VAG computer interface. The VW dealer, as you would expect, says "Can't be done Sir, it's set at the factory". Could anyone please provide details of the codes required if only to wipe the smug smile off the dealer's face? Or, heaven forbid, is the dealer correct?!

Last month I took my Polo to the dealer for the revision and I asked if they could activate this function for me, and they did it without problems! I don't know the codes or anything but what I can tell you is that they CAN do it. Maybe they will want to charge you for this. They tryed to do it to me, but if I said "comeon!, I am paying 290€ for the revision and you will charge me 12€ for activating this?" and they finally did it for free
They also had activated the autolock function some time ago (also for free )
