mk5 6n2 front upper strut brace

i brought this off a guy a while ago, inder the impression it would fit my 8v, but it doesnt so im guessing its for 16v and/or gti? its a chromed omp front upper.
Pics.
theres a few marks on it, mainly on the mounting plate here, you can just about see them

you wouldn't be able to keep it until the next Leicester meet would you? i can then have a look to see if it fits and i'll take it off your hands

From the shape of it, I'd be fairly confident it should fit the GTi.
Looks the same as the standard OMP one I have.

damn it! mate let me know what it is like after you've fitted it and whether it actually makes a difference or not, was only going to buy it since it happened to be in the for sale section
