Anyone got the partnumber. My highline euromodel 130PD does'nt come with leather gearknob or steeringwheel, but aparently the GT does. I have just recived a Polo Cross steeringwheel from Germany, and the GT knob would suit it perfect. Anyone know?

It should be 6Q2 711 113 N SSP Get it checked by your dealer tho, as there are a million combos for this gear gaitor!

Hi, are you sure that it is not leather already? I thought that my wife's Polo SE had a "leatherette" gaitor, so I bought a complete gearknob and gaitor from ebay, removed the gaitor from the gearknob and sent it to an ebay trader that manufactured "nappa leather" gaitors. He sent the new gaitor back to me and when I went to fit it I discovered that while the one that I had bought from ebay was "leatherette", the one fitted to my wife's car was real leather - but looked like and felt like "leatherette"! From your picture, the gearknob looks like its covering is in two parts - just like the real leather one. If you partially remove the gaitor - it is held in place into the centre console by 4 clips sticking out 2 at the front and 2 at the rear. This clips are part of the plastic frame that the gaitor is stapled to. Try easing something down between the gaitor + frame and the centre console this should allow you to lift the rear of the gaitor out of the centre console - then the front can be eased out. Lift the gaitor up and check to see if it is leather - there should not be any threaded material showing if there is then your gaitor is "leatherette". Finally, if you need to remove the gearknob, stretch or open the retaining clamping clip with two small screwdrivers. To refit crimp this clip up again using blunt "end cutting" pliers or similar. Also you will be able to read the colour code of this gaitor/gearkbob - I would think that it is black.

If you look at the interior in GT_Ravens car you can see the stitching. I don't have that on mine. I allso notice that the handbrake is in leather. Would like the partnumber for that to!

Yes I can see the stitching on GT_Raven's steering wheel and handbrake grip - and there is stitching on each side of the gaitor on his car. The leatherette one that I bought off ebay also had stitching on both sides of the gaitor. I still reckon that your gear knob looks like a leather one though. The strange thing is that it appears that a leather handbrake "cover" can be bought for the Skoda Fabia - and that part looks like it is nearly all leather whereas my Polo one, like GT_Raven's only has a leather grip at the end.
