This is the best pic I've got on me at the moment:
Image
Its the tray just above the air vents in the middle of the dash.

It basically replaces the hole type thing you should have currently, with a soft touch opening lid. Looks alot tidier than the hole and you can actually keep stuff in there without leaving it on display :D

Sorry for the interruption here but as the 9N3 dash looks the same as the 9N, does this cubby fit the facelifted Polo? :D

don't take my word for it though :)

"cubby box" its a bit like "pot hole" monitor, you know when you've driven over a proper pot hole because the lid will open! Personnaly I like it - finishes off the dash better than the tray - but my wife (its her car) hates it because its not so handy to through things into ?!? On thing though, it can contribute to the trim chattering noises quite a bit - I might remove it and re-grease the hinge mechanism to see if that quitens it down. On a different vein, I fitted a sunglasses holder - after two weeks I had to point it out to my wife - okay its dark when she jumps into the car etc, but hey its for my sunglasses anyway and it works a treat!

I was going to get one of these, but the "trim noise" comment above has put me off for life!

A strut brace helps the tri m creaking, but the dash is still very noisy on occasion. anything that contributes is a big NO!

the only creaking i get is from the cup holder, and only when it's open :D

but thats annoying.

I liked this idea of the cubby box mod but then i decided to do something different and a 2 gauge pod fits well neat in this wee space so i done that got my volts gauge and my boost gauge will post up some pics later but its always another idea
