Really not sure whats caused this change of heart but lately im bored of modifying / having a modified car. I just can't be bothered to spend the money or do anything to it anymore and wish I just had a nice car where everything worked etc.

couldn't agree more. Im keeping my current car standard & that was always the plan since day one. next car might have a few subtle touches if I get the modifying bug again.

My A4 has been standard since I bought it in April.

All I've done is drill the airbox, which I don't class as a mod.

It really could do with lowering, but to be honest, I love being able to drive around and not bother about speedbumps or potholes.

i know what you mean, what i hate tho is the almost paranoia i get from worrying about leaving my car here and driving it there! would love to have a car thats respectable but at the same time not on the mind if its left in a questionable spot.

In all honesty though the pros of it all way out the cons second to none, i love tweeking and modifying8)

I'm never ever bored of modifying a car at all!!!!

The reason i bought this already sorted Corrado VR was because i wanted to stop spending so much money on the polo! I wasn't bored of doing stuff to the polo.....just fancied a change and something that was already going to save me the money!

Alas.....it has not turned out that way! i'v already bought a new engine and full audio install  I can safely say the bug is still with me......stronger than ever :D

I ran out of things to modify on the polo, so I bought the Golf which has endless possibilities - the first of which being a bora front end conversion. All I need now is headlight (the courier managed to lose the ones I originally bought!!) My spare room is full of bits of Bora!!

I've kinda gone off the whole thing really. I'm pretty satisfied with my Scirocco at the moment, now that it's dropped and it has a nice set of wheels on it. But having such a clean and unmolested car really limits your creativity. I've gone all sensible with this car, nothing too outrageous, but my aim is to maintain its minty-ness for the moment.

I've got a new project which I'm doing with my Dad soon. It's going to be an interesting one

I will, so long as I can find headlights, it'll be done just after christmas as I've got a couple of days off.
