Just been looking at my gearbox mount (the centre one that looks like a potato masher)...

Is it normal for the metal bit to slide inside the rubber portion, just using the rubber to stop it at each end, or is the rubber suposed to stop all sliding movements in the first place...

It deffinately doesnt look right to me!

not much help but i know mine had just had a rubber replaced in the gearbox to stop it from "shaking" just before i bought it...

have you got a pic to explain a bit more?
