Would u add the VW engine code to the engine range please...I think it's quite useful for us when doing the parts search...

I think the code for 1.4 100bhp is BBZ

I do have the engine codes to hand. I'll post these up just for this topic and get mole to add them onto the 9n guide later

PETROL:

1.2 6v: AWY

1.2 12v: AZQ

1.4 16v: BBY, AUA

1.4 100bhp 16v: BBZ, AUB

Easiest place to look for the engine code on your vehicle is the first page of the service book.

DIESEL:

1.9 SDi: ASY

1.4 TDi: AMF, BAY

1.9 TDi 100bhp: ATD, AXR

1.9 TDi 130bhp: ASZ
