You'll feel the back has two little grips that you need to squeeze together slightly and pull back.

I think the size of engine also has a bearing as when I replaced the factory carp headlamps (H7 and H1) with Osram Silver Star bulbs it wasn't all that bad. Enough space to get my hand in and remove the bulbs with pretty much ease.

Took me about 8 MINS. all in as, admittedly, it was a bit fiddly.

Mothers car is a 1.4 16v.

Yeh it definately depends on the size on the engine

it's impossible to take out the headlight bulb on drivers side without moving the diesel filter, engion coolant and some random black box. thats on a 1.4tdi btw.
so i'm guessing petrols don't have diesel filters so easier :P

I was able to change mine without taking off the fuel filter, if you just loosen it you can manoevure [sp] around it. Took me about 35 mins to fit mine in the fuckin rain.

Both my main headlight bulbs decided to blow at the same time before xmas.

It was getting dark and I was at work so I got the nice AA man to come a sort it   ... Seriously lame, but much easier than trying to figure out how to do it in the dark!

Got to get my moneys worth from the AA somewhere!
