the main reason to use RAW is motorsports. .or moving things that can't merged in 3 shots as it'll be moving lol.

i'm sure its better doing 3 shots though.

i've yet to try doing it the RAW way even though i shoot in it.

I was playing around with this today. Did anyone know that photoshop has a built in funtion for merging images to make an HDR shot? It doesnt seem to work well though :?

A free program can be found here:

You can cut the image up and edit as you please in Photoshop., it's alot more flexible. I'd imagine those HDR programs would be faster, but not as good.

Some cool shots there guys!

I usually use 1 RAW image, then save it out as 3x TIFF images (-2, normal and +2), then merge them in Photomatix Pro.

Seems to work pretty well...

I'll post some photos when I have time.

fast moving shots in HDR are shot in RAW mode..for example HDRs of fireworks are shot with one RAW file because they are easier to work with and not compressed into a JPEG or BMP file, so still have ALL the features in them.

I just can't grasp that image. Would be good to see a normal picture of the train station to put it into perspective.
