I bought this a couple of months back with the intention of returning it to its former glory! However I am now very short of cash so I need to sell it quick!

It is a 1992 Volkswagen Polo G40 in black! The car has approx 185,000 miles on the clock and unfortunatly has no service history! I was told by the guy I bought it from that the service history was lost in a house fire at some point! I do however have MOT's dating back to 2001! There is no Tax or MOT on the car now! I am the 8th owner of the car but to be honest when buying a car of this age I dont think number of owners is going to be that high on peoples lists of priorities! The engine runs like an absolute dream though! I took it out for a little drive round the block last week and it pulled brilliantly through all the gears! I have just fitted a brand new PhilJ straight through centre section and standard G40 rear box (at a cost of £150!!!)

The car has been lowered 40mm all round with lowering springs and also has Goodridge Braided Brake hoses all round! The car is being sold with a set of steel wheels however I do have 4 G40 BBS alloys which are negotiable in the sale!

The car was involved in a minor front end shunt before I bought it so it required a replacement offside front wing(which I have fitted). The car will also require a new slam panel as the old one is a little bent and some clever sod decided to cut some of it away so it really is no good! My friends bodyshop has quoted £150 to fit and spray a new one, however, with a little bit of patience i'm sure someone could do it themselves! At the moment the car doesnt have any arch trims however it will come with a complete set ready to be fitted! It has the rear bumper fitted however the only front bumper I had was from my old G40 which had big chunks cut out of it for my intercooler so it will need a replacement bumper! The bodywork on the car isnt too bad although it does have the odd car park ding going down both sides but its nothing massive! There is also a small patch of rust starting to show on the N/S bottom corner of the windscreen(most Mk3 Polos rust here!) The car has a fully working sunroof that doesnt leak! At the moment the car has no wing mirrors but I will try and get hold of a set before the car leaves me!

I bought the car with no interior, however, I have fitted GT front seats to it for now! There are no back seats at the moment, however I can get hold of a G40 rear bench if someone wanted! The carpet is in excellent condition with no holes anywhere! There is also no boot carpet although there is boot side carpets!(boot carpet can be picked up cheap from a scrapper!)

I cant think of anything else to put for now (been a long day at work) so if you have any questions please Pm me or Txt me on 07834 699 753.

I am looking for £1300 which I think is a pretty fair price considering the minimal work required to get the car back on the road!

I will add pics of the car as soon as I get a chance!

Cheers everybody

Sammo

seems cheap, good luck with the sale.

maybe when you sell it you can afford a new keyboard - one with a full stop perhaps? :P

p.s. we can't see the pics from here without an account....

Nah dont believe in fullstops. Exclamation marks give it much more excitement lol!

I will try and sort out hosting the pics tomorrow as I have had quite a bit to drink now!

No offense meant here mate, but the shell looks a bucket, so in fairness your trying to sell it on the merits of the engine, and £1300 for an engine that has covered that many miles :? Also have you any idea when the S/C was last serviced/reconed.

Seems cheap for the car yeah, untill you see it and realise as i said earlier your trying to sell it more on the engine than the motor, good luck with the sale!
