Front LOWER and UPPER struts

Hello..
Just about to get a full set of front power flex bushes on the GTI tomorrow. Next on the list is a lower or upper strut ... what one should i get first?
See the lower one - will it become the lowest part on my car (being the first thing to scrap?)
Does anyone have both? or anyone have one or the another?
The price for a OMP lower is £50
The price for a OMP upper is £80
But the price for upper and lower is £100 if you buy them together so id be maswell doing that !!
Also - can you get an OMP rear sturt brace - and does anyone have one ?

Yeh I'd go for the OMP set,
Mouse has both, and a host of members have just the top one.
I'm pretty sure it becomes the lowest part on your car,
And in terms of the rear, you wanna be looking at an Ibiza ARB

I'm lowered 60mm and my lower strut brace will hit off the ground above 50mph on really bumpy roads (mainly B roads). If you or a garage are fitting it, the engine tray underneath will have to be permanently removed. I got my set for £95 posted on ebay
I'm looking forward to getting an Ibiza/Fabia rear ARB in the future - it's meant to make a massive difference

Does the lower strut brace make a noticable different Mouse?
And would you say it's worth it when losing the undertray and scraping?

i had both and really noticed the difference but had to remove the lower strutbrace as it was scrubbing too much also after i had my manifold fitted my exhaust kept hitting it and really annoying me. i have now got a rear ARB i got it from Jabba sport i cant believe how much it tightens up the rear end of the car its amazing

So you'd say a front upper and rear lower ARB are a good combination? Du get much scrubbing from the ARB?

yea its a really good combination i dont get any scrubbing with the ARB as the ARB dosent sit low enough

Tim an ARB has a completely different function to a strut brace.
For value for money and positive identification of results, there is no contest between an ARB and a strut brace (an ARB is much better).

ahh cool really? Whats the big difference?
