ok then, well if anyone else knows about these fittings please let me know!!!
i have seen a polo same as mine in the same colour however a 5-door in derby, so if my dad can take me down tomorow i might hopefully be able to get that wing mirror and then maybe even these panels and door if they fit!!!

b*stard that do this and drive away, feel sorry for you adam
the same happened to my mates mk6 1.2 polo, parked on the street and someone bumped him, needed new bumper, front wing, light and bonnet, had to pay it himself, claim on insurance and only 17

yeh i wa sooooo annoyed but to be honest what can i do, if you dont know who it is???

i mean he is only young and has lost his first year no claims because somone was stupid enough to crash into his and not stop to give details etc etc
you're doing it the right way, cheapest way of getting it back to how it was before

yeh, like im 18, and will have been driving a year in april.
so thats why i am tryign to not go through insurance and stick to scrappies and ebay, etc
like mainly i need the wing mirror and door sorting
i will just have to live with the dints on the wings for a bit until i have money. like i just finished repairing my car from the last accident like 2-3weeks ago and then this goes and happens, typical!!!!!!!!

yeah i thought you had had another incident!!
did you manage to get everything sorted and back to normal? was your first one worse?

by adam_0612
well the other one i had to replace alloys and get exhuast basically re-done, but yeah that was pretty much sorted apart from slight paint damage, but very slight
this one will be alot more expensive job i think, if it does come to actaully having to replace the panels and get them sprayed
like i went into a VW dealers just for a quote for a wing mirror and inc. paint and fitting it was £234. the mirror alone was £134, and like £60 fitting and £60 painting approx
and that was a quote just for the wing mirror, so even if i do manage things a bit cheaper it will still be expensive!

im sure you could pic up a cheapish wing mirror from a scrapyard or ebay etc cheap, and then spray and fit yourself

Those prices for the wing mirror are abosolutely extortionate (sp)!
You can get a stubby mirror from eBay.de £35 delivered, and I had mine painted by a garage close to me for £16.
