classic reply! just drain it and put some fresh in, thats your best option, when was your last service? maybe worth doing on? when was cambelt done?

As far as I'm aware they don't even change your box oil on a service, they just top it up if they feel it necessary. I would just change the whole lot

Sorry dude, wasn't treading on your feet there! I was just advising Mark that gearbox oil won't get changed unless you get it changed, so it would be a good idea to go ahead and change it all

No problem there tim, but yeah i would do a complete oil change on the car, gearbox, engine oil, spark plugs, oil filter,

oh and is there no way of reving car up and seein if you can identify were vibration is coming from?

thanks for the advise guys. ive got soem gearbox oil so on weekend just wanted to check it has some in and if not top it up. as for listening to the sound i cant hear where its commin from. i think its drivers side near the front wheel as i asked someone to listne to it for a second opinion and they said it sounded like body vibration? ive heard the gearboxes are weak on these cars so just assumed this was the fault :( hope topin it up with oil helps or this could cost big coin to fix

If your checking the oil, you may aswell just repace it all mate! It'll need doing at some point :)
