Hi everyone, :)

Can anyone help with the name of this part from my young lad's 1992 MkII Polo. It's some kind of fuel pump and it's leaking fuel all over the place. We tried to use some putty weld on it but without any success.

Thanks in advance,
Chris

Lol what a newbie I am  You're quite right it is a MkIII.

I thought it was some kind of secondary pump, I didn't think it was THE fuel pump.

It does have two fuel pumps. That one is the inline fuel pump. The other one is the lift pump which is located in the fuel tank.

You dont say what engine is in the car so i have listed them all...

Volkswagen part numbers :

867 906 091 (NZ 3F PY)

867 906 091B (AAU AAV)
Also use 357 972 772

The logbook, the engine number itself and the sticker in the boot (below hatch) will tell you what engine code it is.

Thanks for all your input fellahs, much appreciated. I eventually picked one up from the scrappy for him from exactly the same model and we fitted it last night.

I only hope he picks up some enthusiasm from this site and follows your fine examples.
