dudes, how much can i reasonably sell my Polo engine for? I got a few interested breakers in the vehicle, but i need to know what i should be asking for it, reasonably.

I've asked £700 as an opening gambit, i know scrap metal prices are sky high at the moment. Is this too much to ask for? What is more reasonable for a quick sale. no front end and no dash and no key...

Can you guys help me find a scrap metal dealer near Luton pls. I really really wana get rid of the vehicle now, doing my head in just sitting there.

Engine is a 1.0ltr with 42,00 miles on the clock.

Where can i sell the damaged parts to?

£700 is too high for a 1.0 engine - you can get a GTI engine for less than £600 normally. Aim for closer to £500 and it should sell pretty quickly

The problem is its not an engine conversion engine, more so of a replacement for a blown up one.

Hi guys, thanks for your response.
I wasn't asking £700 for the engine alone, but whole car as it is. is it still asking a bit much?

1.0 engines are fairly easy and cheap to get hold of. I would say £200 tops.

£700 seems rather overpriced to me

im stripping down the parts myself, then will flog the engine for however much.

I think i could probably get a few hundred for the parts, the engine i could get rid of as of then for a more reasonable price. No wonder the guy hasn't gotten back to me. it's looking alright so far so good. :)

Keep the interest up ppl, red breaking mk 5
