Polo unsettled at speed

I dont know if anyone else has this problem, but I find when ever im going relativley fast over a slightly uneven road (pretty much every road around here), the car feels very unsettled and I keep having to make steering corrections....

And also when I come up to lights and brake gently the steering wheel gently flops to the left by about 5 degrees even though the car keeps going in a straight line....

I have been along these roads much faster in a focus and never had this unsettled feeling...

Im guessing that the two above problems are related, and that something has failed....But not sure what...

Anyone else get either of those issues?

Its quite tempting to systematically replace every single bush, balljoint and rod end with upgraded versions to see if that improves things....But that would cost a fair bit!

Its just a pain, its really making me think about getting rid of the car because its just so weird driving it at the moment....I dont feel connected to the road..

Have you had your camber/tracking checked. Even on standard suspension, it's bound to change over time.

Mines the same but just a very small fish in a big ocean of problems with my car, so I haven't done anything about it yet.

Some bushes may be worn.

Unlikley to be a buckled wheel...that would show up more as a vibration...

I suspect I have a worn bushing somewhere.....just a question of finding it...
