cams for 1.6 GTI??

anyone make cams for the 1.6 GTI VVT engine.
I cant see any reason why it couldnt be done, but dont know if anyone has yet..

Yep, Dr. Schrick makes cams for the 16v (probably others too). They can be had in 256, 264, 280 and 290 degrees, if my German serves me correctly.

i bloody knew i saw them somewhere before!
my mate enquired about some and got told to tune his 1.4 16v cause there wasnt anything for the 1.6...

Kent Cams will re-profile your orignal ones for you, as will Piper - but you need to contact them direct

yup, summat else i thought of. but believe it or not, t was TSR that gave him this info.
He was thinking about dropping a 1.6 16v lump in to replace the 1.4 16v, then tune it, he phoned TSR for options and they said tune the 1.4 cause you dont get cams for a 1.6 16v .......
The excuse sounded rubbish to me too. tbh
