Votex kit

well i pick mine up tomor.
and i have two problems before i even get it..
1) how is it stuck to the car/how easy to do.
and
2) does anyone have an exhaust if so what type that fits under it.
as i dont think mine will fit if the kit is lower down than the standard bumper.

Very easy to do, get some tigerseal and stick it on! Just make sure you get someone to help line it up properly and tape it into position until it dries!
Why do you need to change the exhaust? The TDI one is hidden anyway, so will stay hidden or do you have an aftermarket one already?

I took it to my mates to be fitted, he works in a bodyshop and charged me £40 inc materials well worth it IMO he did a nice job sealing the joints so water doesn't get behind and also the front splitter bowed out a bit where the bumper curves but he sorted it out for me.
If you want to do it, its not that hard as long as you don't run into problems, get some panel wipe to clean the area to be bonded then use a polyurethane adhesive to stick it on.
Exhaust wise the ones ive seen that sit under the splitter are a bit ghey, so either get a custom one and make a cutout in the splitter or get a hideaway tdi tailpipe.

are the front and back just straight swaps for the standard ones?
also i have an exhaust from the skoda fabia vrs..

The front one goes over the original part and I guess so does the back (I don't have the rear one). It'll make sense when you offer it up to the car.
Exhaust wise, I would get a standard hidden personally.

Sorry to hijack..
Just a quick question if anyone knows, how would you remove the votex kit, lets say when you sell the car? I want to put one on, but it's just a case of whether I can take it off.

That depend what you stick it on with! I have removed skirts that have been stuck on with tiger seal by pulling them off! So i would recommend using that.

whats the best glue stuff to use to make them stick forever?
and where can i get it from?
i have the fitting instructions and all the kit including the glue but i've heard it doesn't work as good or something.

Trust me. Don't be fooled into thinking that by pulling them off I mean its an easy task! It takes a considerable amount of force, patience and time to remove them but can be done without destroying them if your careful!
I stuck my current Votex kit on a year ago with it and its not shifted one bit!

The front and rear get bonded over the standard black plastic so are not easy to remove. Mine wouldn't budge for love nor money!
Not sure what was used as it was fitted by VW. The arch extension bits i had on the where bonded with windscreen glue though. Now they were a pain in the arse to remove.

i am a new member here and this is my first post, ive been looking at this kit also, just wondering how the skirts are fitted? are they just bonded to the car with tigerseal or is there any modifications need done to the car to fit them? also same question about the front and back splitters cheers,8)

the fronts are glued and screwed and using brackets, basically same for back. the sides have 1 screw on the front end and are glued all the way down. i've currently got my car in the bodyshop to do it as the glue really needs to be baked in the oven for it to last, and not fall off on the road
i'll soon have mine back and it'l look good

When i say arch extensions - thats what VW list them as.
Its that little bit on the arch lol
