what is the quickest 6n from standard? the top 3 quickest? is it just based on engine size or is there more to it? also whats the best 6n model to make quicker? is it the 1.4 16v?

well, the fastest 6n was the Gti (1.6 16v, 120hp), but it was sold only in Germany.. in second place, probably the 1.4 16v (101hp), and in third place, the 1.6 8v (75hp).

but if you don't include the German then 3rd is 1.4 8v I believe. 6n 1.4 16v derived from polo's being used in racing so they needed a road going version. Engine capacity is smaller then the 1.6 BUT it had double overhead cams and obviously 8 extra valves. Early models ie the 6n were based on performance whereas the later models 6n2 were based on fuel economy.
